Carnahan High School of the Future student Jermon Carter sang "Wind Beneath My Wings" to Dr. Alice Roach during a special ceremony, May 21, celebrating the principal's MetLife/National Civic League 2008 Ambassador in Education award. In addition to the $5,000 grant which will be used to start a library for the high school students. St. Louis City License Collector Michael McMillan also announced that his office was donating $1,000 toward the new library.
